With the arrival of summer, everyone’s enjoying basking in the season’s warmth. But is it less safe to expose yourself to the sun’s UV rays after Botox Cosmetic? This is a frequently asked question worth exploring.
In the sun, areas treated with Botox Cosmetic generally react like every other part of your skin. However, it is suggested to not expose yourself to the sun the same day as your treatment. This allows the solution to settle into the targeted areas without increasing the risk of early dispersal. When the skin is exposed to heat, as with tanning, the blood vessels dilate. During the day of treatment, this can cause the solution from the Botox injections to migrate.
