Common Breast Asymmetry Treatment FAQ
How is asymmetry corrected?
Like most cosmetic breast surgeries, treating asymmetry usually involves an outpatient procedure. Dr. Golger and Dr. Romy can balance out your breasts with a variety of techniques, but the most common one is breast augmentation in Whitby & Toronto. Through surgical placement of breast implants (often in different sizes), we can improve breast symmetry with excellent precision.
Who can correct breast asymmetry in Whitby & Toronto?
To learn more about breast asymmetry correction, we invite you to schedule a personal consultation at our Whitby & Toronto. You will have the opportunity to personally review our breast gallery of patient photos with Dr. Golger and Dr. Romy. He will answer your questions and determine if breast asymmetry treatment can address your concerns.
What happens after surgery?
We’ll give you specific aftercare instructions for the recovery, along with prescription medications to manage discomfort. Expect some bruising and swelling during the first few days, and plan to have a friend or family member help you for a while. You can resume most activities within a week, but plan to take 1-2 weeks off work and postpone rigorous exercise and heavy lifting for one month. You’ll see the results right away, but the final outcome of your treatment may not be evident until swelling completely subsides.
Is breast asymmetry correction safe?
All surgical procedures, including breast asymmetry correction, have a degree of risk and uncertainty. We’ll discuss these risks in detail during your consultation. Possible adverse events include unfavorable scarring, asymmetry, sensory changes, infection, adverse reaction to anesthesia and unsatisfactory cosmetic outcome.
I have met with Dr. Golger several times and have found him to be compassionate, knowledgeable and overall easy to talk to. He gave me the facts and left out that sales pitch you often hear from other plastic surgeons. I have seen his before & after photos and his work is impeccable. I would not have anyone operate on me but Dr. Golger and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a plastic surgeon.
