Oshawa & Toronto Rhinoplasty before and after

Rhinoplasty surgery is a cosmetic procedure to reshape the nose and balance your facial profile. Your nose plays an important role in your appearance, so even the smallest cosmetic imperfection can affect the way you look. Whether your nose is large, crooked, hooked or has a deviated septum, rhinoplasty is the procedure that can change it.

During rhinoplasty, our basic goal is to enhance your overall facial proportions. In some cases, the surgery can also involve treatment of breathing problems that result from a deviated septum.

How does rhinoplasty work?

Rhinoplasty surgery in Oshawa & Toronto is an outpatient procedure that uses general or local anesthesia combined with sedation. We make small incisions within the nostrils or across the base of the nose, followed by separation of the skin from the underlying bone and cartilage. The surgeon will then reshape the underlying nasal structure to achieve your desired outcome.

What happens after nose surgery?

The incisions are closed and we apply a dressing inside your nasal passage, as well as splints to provide support and protection. We’ll send you home with detailed instructions for the recovery period, which takes about 2 weeks. You will need to protect your nose for several weeks after your Oshawa or Toronto rhinoplasty procedure.

Does rhinoplasty in Oshawa & Toronto have risks?

Nose surgery does have risks, including but not limited to infection, scarring, delayed healing and an unsatisfactory cosmetic outcome. You and Dr. Golger or Dr. Ahluwalia will review these risks in detail during your consultation.

Are there alternatives to rhinoplasty?

You may be surprised to discover that certain rhinoplasty alternatives and complementary techniques can also balance your facial profile. In particular, chin augmentation or genioplasty can balance out your facial features and make your nose appear less prominent.
