Body Contouring Procedures To Sculpt & Restore
Body contouring surgery procedures sculpt and restore proportion in your tummy, thighs, buttocks, and arms. After rapid weight loss, you might have loose skin and excess fat that doesn’t go away, despite your efforts with diet and exercise. In body contouring, Dr. Golger and Dr. Romy work to slim down problem areas and tighten up loose tissue.
A complete lower body lift treats sagging buttocks, abdomen, waist, hips and outer thighs. Incision patterns vary, and may include a circumferential incision around the body to remove the “belt” of excess skin and fat.
Liposuction is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. This is not a method for weight loss, but a surgical way of removing localized fat.
Having children is one of the most joyous and profound life experiences you can have. However, more than a few mothers are concerned about the long-term effects pregnancy can have on their bodies. Weight fluctuations, breastfeeding and abdominal strain can take a toll, especially if you’ve birthed multiple children.
Here in Oshawa & Toronto, we offer a series of procedures that help moms restore their youthful figure after pregnancy. We call it the mommy makeover, which generally combines breast enhancement with tummy tuck surgery for a dramatic transformation.
Candidates for our mommy makeover are:
- Healthy and at a stable body weight
- Realistic about the expected results
- Not planning any future pregnancies
- Motivated to improve body shape after pregnancy
The mommy makeover can tighten up your tummy while also restoring youthful volume to your breasts. After the surgery, you can expect to have better self-confidence about your overall appearance. Read our frequently asked questions and then call our Oshawa or Toronto plastic surgery office if you have any additional questions about the mommy makeover.
What does the surgery involve?
A mommy makeover combines a tummy tuck with breast augmentation. The combined surgeries are done in the same session with a general anesthetic. With the tummy tuck, Oshawa & Toronto plastic surgeon Dr. Golger works to flatten the abdominal area and sculpt the midsection. With breast enhancement, he uses saline or silicone implants to restore breast volume.
What can I expect after my mommy makeover?
Recovery after a mommy makeover will take at least 2 weeks. When you’re finished with surgery, we’ll send you home with detailed aftercare and hygiene instructions. You’ll have to rest for the first few days and wear special support garments to minimize swelling and promote quick healing.
As swelling resolves, the results of your mommy makeover will become evident. Most patients can resume most normal activities, including work, in about two weeks. More rigorous activities should be postponed for several weeks as directed.
Does a mommy makeover have risks?
Like any surgical procedure, the mommy makeover has risks to consider. Potential adverse events include scarring, infection, excessive swelling, hematoma (excessive bleeding) and adverse reaction to anesthesia. We will review all risks and safety information in detail during your consultation.

After pregnancy or rapid weight loss, you might find that your tummy is protruding a bit too far; maybe you have a little pouch on your abdomen that doesn’t go away. To make matters worse, you have diastasis, a condition in which the abdominal muscles are stretched and weakened. Fortunately, you can treat these problems with a tummy tuck, a cosmetic procedure that repairs stretched abdominal muscles and trims away loose tissue to give you a slimmer midsection.
An arm lift is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. The aging process or significant changes in body weight can leave a person with sagging upper arms and excess skin.
